From January 20 to May 20, 2013, the Museum of Neuchâtel presented SUPRA100, the exhibition dedicated to superconductivity created by MaNEP, UNIGE and the artist Etienne Krähenbühl. This Art & Science exhibition is a fantastic way to reach a new public made of art lovers who discover, through SUPRA100, a scientific phenomenon. Many events for the general public were organized in collaboration with the PhysiScope, such as a Supersunday for families, a Superweek for school classes, workshops for children and a conference by reknown scientist Prof. René Flükiger. With over 19’000 visitors at Neuchâtel, SUPRA100 affirms its appeal to the general public. Other exhibitors, in Europe, are interested and are examining possibilities to present this exhibition in their institution.
Trade show EPHJ-EPMT-SMT, Palexpo, Geneva

This year too, MaNEP is invited by the Canton of Geneva as a partner at its booth at the EPHJ-EPMT-SMT trade show at Palexpo, June 11-14, 2013. Conferences intended for the public, made of professionals from the sectors of microtechnologies, watchmaking-jewellery and medical technology were organized. MaNEP is represented by
Dr. Stefano Gariglio, who gave a conference about new materials and their application in microtechnologies, and by Dr. Jorge Cors, who gave a conference about nanotechnologies and their application in the medical field. [more info]

For its last edition as a NCCR, MaNEP will have its traditional meeting SWM13 (Swiss Workshop on Materials with Novel Electronic properties) in Les Diablerets from June 24-28, 2013. For this special edition, the progamme is richer and longer than usual. Moreover it counts outstanding international speakers and guests such as reknown swiss scientists, international experts, representatives of industries and members of UNIGE rectorat.
Mauro dell'Ambrogio, State Secretary for Education, Research and Innovation, will also honor this SWM of his presence. Over 200 participants are already registered for this promising and exceptional event. [more info]
TEP-CH 2013 at Empa - Thermoelectric Materials and Applications

2013 TEP-CH meeting will be held from September 16 to 19, 2013, at Empa, Dübendorf. Scientific committee and organizers invited several international scientists to deliver high-level lectures, such as Prof. Joseph Heremans (Ohio State University,USA), Prof. Janusz Tobola (AGH University of Science and Technology, Poland), Prof. Tiejun Zhu (Zhejiang University, China), Prof. Antoine Maignan (CRISMAT, France), and so on.
